NAST South Africa Membership

The following criteria will apply for individuals or companies who would like to apply for membership of NAST SA. This will be published on NAST SA website and in accordance to your status clients can direct their queries.

BASIC MEMBERSHIP:

• Police members with Sergeant Rank or higher.
  
• Metro Traffic Officers with minimum 6 years working experience.
  
• Military members with minimum 6 years working experience.
  
• Bodyguards who has completed their course but who has not yet been registered with PSIRA or SIA.
  
• Non South African residents
  

Basic membership to NAST SA does not accredit you to work as an independent CPO. It will give you the opportunity to be used in conjunction with a Full Accredited NAST SA member. You will be used as a consultant to assignments.

INTERMEDIATE MEMBERSHIP:

• Completed basic bodyguard course who are registered with PSIRA or any other accredited body.
  
• Who has not yet been approved by a training institution to work as an independent CPO.
  
• CPO’s who have completed their training course with less than one year experience.
  
• CPO’s who is not readily available for assignments on short notice.
  

Intermediate membership to NAST SA will allow you to accept assignments as an individual CPO. NAST SA requires that you notify their offices of your intent to deliver a service.

ADVANCED MEMBERSHIP:

• Completed basic, intermediate and advanced course who are registered with PSIRA or any other accredited body.
  
• CPO with minimum one year experience.
  
• CPO who is readily available for national and international assignments.
  

Advanced membership to NAST SA will allow you to work as an independent CPO. NAST SA will have no restrictions on you what so ever. Also advanced members may use Basic and Intermediate members to assist them in assignments.

TRAINING INSTITUTES:

• Allowed to assess and accredit students or CPO’s whishing to join NAST SA. (NAST SA has looked at different training institutions and we feel that your company training standards do not require any assessment from NAST SA. Your standards are of reputable format and your company name is carried high by your students)
  
  
  
  • We will send CPO’s applying for NAST SA membership to your academy for assessment if these CPO’s are in your area. we do ask that a price is fixed with NAST SA where we can forward it to the applicants. NAST SA does not require you to pay us anything for the assessment. As we are a Non Profitable Consulting Association we will accept any form of advertising or sponsors as deemed fit by your company.
    
  
  
• Will form part of the NAST SA preferred service provider for CPO placements.
  
• Monthly News letters.
  
• May add NAST SA logo to there correspondence and web page, we do ask when our website is fully operational that a link is set to the website.

• Discounted rates at training centres accredited by NAST SA.
  
• Access to the membership database for any assistance
