I'm on the lookout for a new assault vest, not too keen on the issued number though.

Is Webtex kit any good? I've seen some good looking stuff by them.

Webtex/Arktis is ok although unnoficial military issue. The South African type assault vests seem to be popular amongst troops.

Webtex is generally rubdish

Arktis supply some of the better stuff.

Depends on what you want to use it for and how often you will wear it .

Its a bit mission specific. If you are going to spend long periods of time in vehciles vest are great but limited in what you can carry for longer periods of time.

Before spending money decide is it practicle for what you require and the job in hand.

PLCE adapted covers a multitude but can be troublesome if operating in vehicles for prolonged periods.

Its an item you should only have to buy once and depending on the model can be pricey..take all the above into account before deciding.

I use both depending on the job I'm tasked with.

Ground ops PLCE..more versatile

Vehicle ops Assault vest more comfortable and every thing required to the front rather than having to reach round for kit..
